Hello! I'm Cecilia Filippi, creator of Telar de Campo. I was born and raised in Córdoba, Argentina, and although I graduated as a Speech Therapist and practiced that profession for several years, I always carried with me a passion that began in my childhood: a love for weaving, fashion, and design. From a young age, wool, colors, and textures accompanied me. And it was this art I learned as a child that, over time, prompted me to seek a new path.
Thus, driven by the desire to preserve ancient weaving traditions, I began creating loom-woven accessories—scarves and pashminas—which I sold to friends and family. Little by little, this venture grew, and in 2012, "Telar de Campo" was officially born, a name that fuses my love for weaving and my roots in a town steeped in rural culture.
From the beginning, the essence of Telar de Campo was the blend of artisanal craftsmanship and contemporary design. I began posting my creations on Facebook, and soon new products were added: sweaters, ponchos, jackets, and ruanas, all distinguished by their unique designs and vibrant colors. We participated in entrepreneur fairs and local events, and shot our first photo shoots in different landscapes of Córdoba. The response was so warm that we soon began selling nationwide through Facebook and WhatsApp.
Over the years, the story of Telar de Campo was woven alongside many other women. We formed a team of weavers, spinners, dyers, and raw material suppliers from the region, all united by the premise of handmade and our own unique style. We use fine materials—sheep wool, pure hand-spun merino wool, llama wool—often dyed with natural dyes from the countryside. We alternate artisanal techniques such as knitting, crochet, and loom work, often combining them in a single garment to give it that unique value.
Each stage brought new challenges and joys. In 2019, I had an unforgettable experience sharing knowledge with women artisans and weavers in Lago Ranco, Valdivia, Chile. Our products also reached places we never imagined: a store in Tilcara, Jujuy, the shop at the Hotel Llao Llao in Bariloche, and even a store in one of the best areas of Madrid, Spain. The pandemic and the growth of social media gave us a huge boost, adding thousands of followers to our community and receiving orders from places as far away as Chiapas, Mexico, New Zealand, and Italy.
Along the way, we received recognition from media outlets in Córdoba and Buenos Aires, such as Caras magazine, and in 2024, we had the honor of having two of our creations published in El Arte de Tejer magazine.
Today, Telar de Campo is much more than a brand: it's a company of women passionate about the art of weaving, who work as a team to create unique and singular garments. Telar de Campo continues to create, preserving tradition and a love for handmade items, from the heart of Argentina.
Our identity is based on two pillars:
- Each garment is unique, as no two are exactly alike.
- Each garment is entirely handmade.
We are always creating and presenting new items, always in small quantities, to enhance uniqueness. We don't follow trends because industrial production is dehumanizing, and our focus is on the personality of the brand and its wearer.
We have a style whose designs combine colors and textures to highlight the exclusivity of each creation. Those who follow us recognize artisanal work and are aware of the value of each woven design.
The entire process, from the selection of materials to the design and creation, tells a story: that of a unique and singular garment, created so that whoever chooses and wears it feels like it was made just for them and that it brings them a form of happiness.
